PEX tubing, or cross-linked polyethylene, is a plastic polymer used in water supply piping systems. It’s a type of flexible plumbing tubing that can be utilized for both hot and cold water lines. Compared to copper, PVC, and galvanised steel plumbing pipes, the product has various advantages. PEX is more flexible and easier to install than rigid pipes, and it has a higher heat resistance and longer lifespan. PEX is available in diameters ranging from 1/4 inch to 4 inches. 1/2, 3/4, and 1 inch are the most common sizes for water supply piping.
